RFM 1654 Charter Night

The 42nd Charter Night and RFM 1654 of Rotary Central Calcutta was celebrated on 29th August at Sapphire Banquet. The evening honoured the club’s legacy and growth, with all Past Presidents and Charter Members felicitated for their vision and service. The gathering reflected fellowship, gratitude, and Rotary’s enduring commitment to community service and leadership.

The Rotary meeting opened with the President’s call to order, followed by the National Anthem, Four Way Test, and Rotarian Integrity Pledge. Minutes of the previous meeting (RFM 1652) were confirmed, after which the President made announcements and the Hon. Secretary presented club business. Guest speaker Vikash Agarwal, Founder of Weshuddhi, shared insights on “What’s Really in Your Cooking Oil?”—highlighting health and environmental risks of reused or adulterated oils and how conscious choices support cleaner food systems. He was felicitated, the Sergeant-at-Arms presented the report, and a Vote of Thanks was delivered. The meeting concluded with the President’s closing remarks and dinner.

The meeting concluded with the President’s closing and dinner.

COTS

Club Officer Training Session (COTS) of Rotary was held to equip new club leaders with practical skills for effective service and administration. The session covered goal setting, membership growth, project planning, financial management, and Rotary’s latest initiatives. Experienced trainers guided officers to strengthen leadership and teamwork, ensuring clubs deliver impactful community projects in the coming year.
